"The Central Service Profession encompasses the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of critical surgical instruments in hospitals and other healthcare related facilities".
CSAWPA's goal is to work as an advocate for the promotion of educational and professional growth to members and associates.
Our Mission: to identify and unify Central Service personnel professionally within the Commonwealth, promote personal education, and provide guidelines for professional growth.
During the year, we offer seminars and vendor fairs with continuing educational value to Central Service personnel. We strive to meet the needs of Central Service professionals to promote their status as technical professionals in a rapidly evolving field of health care. Please take this opportunity to learn about us as an association and of upcoming events. We hope you will find our services beneficial to your personnel professional needs. There are two ways to become a member of the Central Service Association of Western Pennsylvania (CSAWPA).
- As a participant of any educational program offered by CSAWPA, your registration application and fee automatically places you on the membership roster for one year. If you are unable to attend a meeting in the course of one calendar year, you can maintain your membership by completing a membership form and paying the annual membership dues of $10. This will put your name on the membership roster and will guarantee that you receive the flyers announcing upcoming educational meetings.
- If you are interested in joining CSAWPA please fill out the "Contact Form."
