We are 6-months in to our inaugural year. The development of our Chapter is equivalent to the journey that the ND Homesteaders felt over 100+ years ago - slow and laborious. With the onset of winter the CS/SPD Pioneers across the state will hunker down - travel improbable - thus suspending opportunities to gather in person until spring. Nonetheless, our desire to be Chapter progressive is innately profound but the vast rural nature of our state forces us to evolve slowly.
With that said...
Our energies have been dispensed establishing a foundation of charitable work; "paying it forward" to the people of North Dakota. In May of 2015, our team raised over $1,030 for the American Heart Association. During the summer months, we collected and contributed 1000's of hygiene products to donate to the YWCA and Dorothy Day House supporting the "Hearts for Hygiene" drive. Hearts for Hygiene is a non-profit organization providing hygiene items to families in crisis. On October 30th, we provided over $234 in toys and merchandise to the Sanford Children's Hospital pediatric department, keeping the Halloween spirit alive for children in the hospital unable to participate in community festivities.
"Together we can change the world - one good deed at a time!" - Blake Beattie, founder of International Pay It Forward Day.
We are excited about the future and the development of our chapter ... keep your eye open for the smashing good outcomes evolving from the state of North Dakota as we toil the frozen ground and grind away at the expansion of our newly instituted chapter!Read More
