IAHCSMM Instructor Requirements

IAHCSMM Instructor Requirements have been revised. The new requirements are listed below:

The following requirements must be met (and maintained) to become designated as an Approved-Instructor for the IAHCSMM Central Service Technician Course:

Instructor and Program Information

checkbox Instructor’s Application Packet completed and approved by the IAHCSMM PDRC

  • Program Overview
  • Instructor Responsibilities Acknowledgement Form

Teaching Materials

checkbox Purchase of the most current edition of the Instructor’s Guide (once approved)

Academic Background (CS Specific)

checkbox Option 1 - Current CRCST status with IAHCSMM

checkbox Option 2 - Proof of current academic appointment (Technical School, College, University, etc.), current IAHCSMM membership, and successful completion of the current CRCST exam.* (Note: Instructor applicants taking this exam will not be granted CRCST status. It is only an academic measurement.)

*Academic Appointment Instructors who have already been approved, do not need to take the CRCST exam.

Instructor Responsibilities:

checkbox Review, update, and resubmit Curriculum Vitae, Program Overview, and Instructor Responsibilities Acknowledgement Form once every two years.

checkbox Attend One Instructors’ Update and One entire IAHCSMM Annual Meeting every two years.

checkbox Agree to require that their students purchase the current copy of the IAHCSMM Text and Workbook.

checkbox Agree to exclusively teach the IAHCSMM CS curriculum, not a hybrid of the two major CS curriculums or the competing CS curriculum.
