I am looking for an instrument tracking system that will track instruments thorugh the process, provide tray count sheets, and one that communicates with my Belimed sterilizers like our current RDS system communicates with my Steris sterilizers. Any help woudl be appreciated.
Thanks

Steris has teamed up with Censis. This is a nice system, interacts with sterilizers, I am told. Don't know if it will interact with only Steris equipment, or with others also. Internet based, may not be cost effective, not sure of that either. Is this what the RDS system is that you speak of?

I'm looking at systems myself, and I was wondering if anyone could provide some feedback on the good, the bad, and the ugly things about their systems. You can send me a private message so we can keep this from becoming an advertising forum.

My hospital is currently using Microsystems (SPM). It is a wonderful system. It has simplified loaner instrumentation, missing instruments, count sheets, etc. Moreover, it has the ability to document education records, sterilizer load records, and employee information among other things. The system can generate extremely useful reports. It is a very good system. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all.
