Positioning of instrument trays

I was wondering if anyone knows of any written policies regarding how to position instrument trays when loading racks prior to sterilization? I was taught to tilt basins, instrument trays, steri-peel packs, and any items that are secured well within their cases(scopes, etc.) on their sides. Of course certain ortho sets, and all of our drills are placed flat, as are any heavy trays of instruments.
