Do you consider K-Wires and Steinman Pins as implants for purposes of BI testing and release after sterilization?
Trying to update policies and there are differing opinions.

Relying on my Infection Control background, I would say that anything left in the body should be considered an implant.

Yes, we do consider K-wires and steinman pins as implants. We pretty much go by the rule that if it goes into bone, it's an implant.
