Does anybody have any information or experience with the TSO3 machine? I haven't heard any new info on this for awhile, but am under the impression that it is a low temperature sterilizer (like the STERRAD), but uses only water and room air, and those are the only byproducts as well. I also heard they were testing it's ability to deactivate prions. Any new news would be appreciated!

I believe the TS03 is an ozone sterilizer. (www.ts03.com) There has been a lot of publicity on these recently.
IAHCSMM did an excellent self study lesson (#83 July 2005) on ozone sterilization, which was very informative.
I think the big advantage of ozone is its low operating cost per cycle compared to the other low temps for around the same acquisition cost.
But they still don't have the cycle time (4 hours) down to a reasonable time to help with turnovers.
Also, they don't have the capacity to do long flexible lumens, so EtO or Steris are still the only options there.
The manufacturer told me that they will have improvements on the cycle time and the compatibility coming along in the (hopefully) near future.
If they accomplish that, I will definitely look into getting one.
