Could Someone Please Tell Me Were I Could Find The Form I Need To Fill Out When Implants Are Released Before The Biological Is Read

:) I have a question? Why are you letting the implants go before the biological is read? I mean if the tray is being used you can read a rapid read-out at 15 minutes up to an hour allowing you to know if the parameters of sterilization were met before the patient leaves recovery. Just a thought. :)

We let our implant trays go before BI results due to the following:
Tray Validation: All trays that contain implants have had a tray validation study done
Daily BI's are run on all sterilizers
Load Release w/ Class 5 Integrator challenge packs on every single load
This has been made into a policy which has been accepted by the Infection Control committee due to the data presented on the above
