Is anyone familiar with an OSHA standard that indicates the hair covering in the Decontamination Room should be impervious-type? I'm told there isn't a standard by one person and another one said yes there is. We have some impervious hair coverings we are currently using in Decontamination but they are extremly hot for the staff to wear. Would like to know if we need to wear them. Thanks for your help.

I have been in CS for 28 years and never had impervious hair cover for decontam. In everything that I have read from AAMI, AORN, etc just says hair cover does not say has to be impervious.
