We are having some remodel in our OR adding a satelite room room was designed everything done in one room I and a colleague of 20+ years in SPD got this changed during a construction meeting and now a Sr Director is triing to get get it changed back saying we can do it in one room with air flow going from clean area to contaminated area (no barrier between the two) or option 2 do the prep and wrap in the substerile. argument is air flow we say negitive Director argues that air flow is negitive and possitive so we can. I feel from what I have learned this compramizes patient safty. is there anyone that could help me out. If some knows of any documentation to support these options are NOT a good thing.:(
