How are any of you or your hospitals doing the blades? Handwashing or sending thru the washer decontaminators, terminally kill by sterrad or steris?
Any manufacturing company info we are getting different stories from each some say we can sterrad and steris others say no.. If you have any info which can help us on how you all are doing this. Would greatly help.

We hand wash AND put in the washer/decontaminator. Then we process the blades in the Sterrad.
It probably depends on what kind of blades you have. We do have some old blades that have a light bulb on the outside that you can unscrew and replace. These can be processed in the steam sterilizer, but to keep down on the confusion, we just have our employees process all of them in the Sterrad.
