Currently our sterile storage area that houses our sterile instruments is undergoing a much needed (25 + year need!) remodeling.:) The remodel consists of a new ceiling, new flooring and repainting. One half of the room is being "completed" at a time. As you can well imagine it is a painful albiet much needed undertaking.:(
Now for the problem....our Facility Manager is refusing to paint our area before they move our sterile insts to the "finished" side and move on to the other side. His intent is to come back later to paint. My Manager has "argued" the logic of this from every concievable angle, and he is unwilling to budge. :confused:She is now attempting to approach it from the stance that the old paint; as well as the duct tape they have patched our walls with:mad: are porous and an unacceptable condition. We are wondering if anyone can cite specific "legal-ease" that will help prop up her stance - AAMI, OSHA ect. Thank you for your help!!
