The MCCSP fall meeting, “We are all in this together, Again,” was another success. This is the second combined meeting we have presented with our local AORN Massachusetts Chapter I #2201 and Massachusetts AST assembly. Bunker Hill Community College graciously hosted the event in its new gymnasium and did a wonderful job. There were 290 attendees and 34 vendors present. Speakers included Cynthia Spry; Joseph LeBouef; Mark Duro; Marsha Hardick; and Sharon McNamara, and each was exceptional. The MCCSP will be planning its next event in March with speakers and location TBA. We hope you will be able to make it.

The MCCSP sent a representative to the AAMI conference, which was held in Alexandria VA. Mark Duro, our representative, will provide an update to the chapter at the next program. There was a second FDA/AAMI Medical Device Reprocessing Summit and both Karen Nauss and Mark Duro attended. What was evident is that there are very few end users on this committee. We really need the end users to be a part of the AAMI process. Your voice will be heard. Please let Karen Knauss know if you are interested: knauss@mah.harvard.edu.
