How Can We Help You Become Certified?
After the Exam
- You’ve just finished your exam! How did you do? Your results will be
sent electronically to IAHCSMM the following business day, and
IAHCSMM will process those records the day received. Here’s what you
can expect to receive in the mail:
Pass the CRCST Exam:
- A Welcome Brochure (to receive the most out of your new IAHCSMM membership, included complimentary for the remainder of the billing period)
- Certificate stating you are now a Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
- A CRCST lapel pin
- Official score sheet, showing your achievements overall and also broken down to the two sections of the exam (combined will equal your overall score)
- A membership/certification card with an expiration date showing your CRCST standing (to show to your employer as proof of current certification)
- Assorted additional chapter and membership information
Pass the CHL Exam:
- A Welcome Brochure (to continue receiving the most out of your IAHCSMM membership)
- Certificate stating you are now Certified in Healthcare Leadership (CHL)
- Official score sheet, showing your achievements overall
- A membership/certification card with an expiration date showing your CRCST and CHL standing (to show to your employer as proof of current certification; note this card will be for the billing cycle you have most actively paid)
- Assorted additional chapter and membership information
Pass the CIS Exam:
- A Welcome Brochure (to get the most out of your new IAHCSMM membership, included complimentary for the remainder of the billing period)
- Certificate stating you are now a Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS)
- Official score sheet, showing your achievements overall
- A membership/certification card with an expiration date showing your CRCST and CIS standing (to show to your employer as proof of current certification; note this card will be for the billing cycle you have most actively paid)
- Assorted additional chapter and membership information
To maintain and re-certify any certification, visit our How Can I Help You Stay Certified section.
Fail an Exam:
- Official score sheet, showing your achievements overall and, if applicable, also broken down to the sections of the exam (combined will equal your overall score)
- A Re-Take Application (a new application plus fees must be received and processed by IAHCSMM to take the exam again)
- A publications brochure detailing available study materials if you do not already own them
