IAHCSMM Call for Poster Submissions
2012 IAHCSMM Annual Conference & Expo
April 29 - May 2, 2012 • Albuquerque, New Mexico
To further enhance the learning experience of our attendees, an Educational Poster Display will be featured at the 2012 Annual Conference & Expo in Albuquerque, April 29-May 2, 2012. This is a great opportunity to showcase your original work in a public forum and share your knowledge of the CSSD profession. The posters will be on display during the exhibits for all attendees to read and examine.
Overview: The posters displayed will share information about successes with quality improvement, cost-saving, patient safety, staff safety, staff development, customer relations and more.

Submission Deadline: January 31, 2012
Format: IAHCSMM will convert PowerPoint presentations to a poster format and mount on a 4’x6’ foam-board for display during the Expo in Albuquerque. A description of your poster will also be printed in the Expo Guide.
Please submit the following to susan@iahcsmm.org by January 31, 2012:
- PowerPoint presentation of your poster.
- Limit your presentation to no more than 9 slides
- IAHCSMM prohibits the use of presentations to market products or services

- Submit a one page summary of the poster to include:
- Introduction: Description of the organizational context in which the project was developed
- Objective: List the goals of the project and what you hoped to achieve
- Description of the Project: List the methods, actions and/or processes used to achieve objectives
- Results and Lessons Learned
- Full contact information for the author(s) of the poster (name, title, organization, address, phone, email)
- A brief description of the author’s organization
- Signed Release Form

Poster Submission Selection Process:IAHCSMM reviews each poster submission and reserves the right to refuse to publish any poster without reason. Confirmation of acceptance/denial of your poster submission will be given within 30 days of receipt of the PowerPoint presentation, one page summary and signed release form.
Location and Schedule: Posters will be displayed in the exhibit hall on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm.
Fee: IAHCSMM will bear the cost for the creation and shipment of the poster to Albuquerque for display. It will be the author’s responsibility to assume costs for shipping the poster to any address beyond Albuquerque.
